Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers episode 26 Calamity Kimberly review

This was not Kimberly's lucky day. Her day starts with knocking over her lamp, falls out of bed, a bad hair day, an earthquake, a hole burned into her dress, and a mirror breaking. And that was just in the first three minutes!

Kimberly walks into school with a broken umbrella, soaking wet. Tommy comes up and tries to cheer her and after getting Bulk and Skull off her back, he asks to walk her home.
 
Now Kimberly's bad day is a good for Rita. She has Finster prepare her a monster, the Samurai Fan Man. He attacks Kim and Tommy, Kimberly gets trapped in Samurai Fan Man's (Man that's a mouthful) jar and Tommy gets knocked out, even though I'm not really sure what did it, but okay.

The other rangers are training when Zordon calls them to the command center. And while Tommy recovers there, they go after Samurai Fan Man.

They face and almost get blown into another dimension, but Zordon and Alpha save them.

They head back out, and Rita makes Samurai and Goldar grows, the rangers summon their zords, but they're not strong enough. So Tommy who's not at 100% jumps into the fight with the dragonzord, and they form dragonzord fighting mode, and with it they destroy the jar, freeing Kimberly. Who immediately morphs and calls her zord. They form the megazord then the ultrazord, and easily destroy Samurai Fan Man.

Back at Billy's garage the rangers watch the news talk about the rangers saving the day. Tommy tells Kimberly her luck is back to normal, and when Kimberly tries to turn up the TV volume, it breaks, thanks Tommy.

I remembered what this episode was about and didn't think it would interest me, but I really liked it. Kimberly's bad luck was funny and sad. We got more development in Kimberly and Tommy's slow burning romance plot. And I like the name Samurai Fan Man, before watching I remembered his name as Samurai Fan, so I was close.

Some random thoughts: The more I watch the easy it becomes to spot the Sentai footage.

During the rangers last fight with the Samurai Fan Man there were Dino cycles in the background.

We've now seen two of the rangers' bedrooms Trini's and Kimberly's.
